On the occasion of the 10th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and his Spouse Agata Kornhauser–Duda hosted an official dinner at the Presidential Palace to celebrate the anniversary of cooperation.

– We will be hosting several European leaders who will participate in the jubilee 10th Three Seas Summit. This is a success story achieved through the consistent implementation of a far–reaching strategy, which, as Andrzej Duda points out, is not focused on the next months and years, but on decades and centuries to come.

The participants of the discussion will take stock of a decade of functioning of the 3SI format, summarizing the last 10 years and at the same time outlining the directions of the Initiative's development in the next decade. The Warsaw meeting, which will be the largest international event to take place in Poland this year, is expected to be attended by at least 20 top–level and high–level delegations.

– There is no doubt that the Three Seas Initiative has become the most important platform for regional cooperation in our part of Europe and, I believe, in the European Union. We are the driving force of the European economy  and a very attractive destination for investment in these challenging times – said the President of the Republic of Poland.

The President has often spoken about the Three Seas Initiative in his interviews with foreign media, emphasizing its importance not only for the development of the region. In his meetings at international forums, the President has also highlighted the achievements of the Three Seas cooperation and encouraged partners to join the project.

– The history of the Three Seas Region is one of success. The region's thriving economy, excellent investment opportunities and business environment provide a unique climate for both countries and business partners from around the world. Today, our initiative consists of 13 participating countries, 4 strategic partners, 2 associate participating countries and is still developing – said the President in his invitation to the Warsaw meeting.

Today, the Three Seas Region is one of the fastest growing regions in the world, with a projected GDP growth of 35% by 2030. This cooperation is creating strategic transport routes such as Via Baltica, Rail Baltica or Via Carpatia – corridors linking Central Europe with the rest of the continent and a gateway for investment from the Middle East and Africa, the President stressed in Dubai.

– This is a vast market of 120 million citizens ready to cooperate and do business together! (...) From this place, I encourage all those interested in cooperation to invest in our region and participate in the Summit,” the President told the UN General Assembly.

The establishment of the Three Seas Initiative was initiated by the Presidents of Poland, Andrzej Duda, and Croatia, Kolinda Grabar–Kitarović, during a meeting of the leaders of the countries of the region on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York in 2015. That year is considered the beginning of the Three Seas Cooperation, while the first summit of the initiative was held in Dubrovnik in 2016.

The Initiative initially brought together 12 EU participating states: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. In 2023, this group was enlarged upon Greece and now includes 13 participating countries and 2 associated participating countries – Ukraine and Moldova. The strategic partners of the Three Seas Initiative are United States, Japan, European Commission and Germany.
